Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers now owns the league record for most completions of 50+ yards after his 80-yard touchdown pass to DK Metcalf in Sunday’s 24-21 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Ireland. It was Rodgers’ 91st 50+ yard completion, surpassing Drew Brees.

On the 80-yard touchdown pass to DK Metcalf, Rodgers also became the second quarterback in NFL history to throw 60 or more touchdown passes against multiple franchises.

Rodgers also has 64 TDs against the Chicago Bears. Tom Brady is the only other quarterback to have thrown 60-plus touchdown passes. The seven-time Super Bowl champion accomplished that feat against the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets.

Rodgers eclipsed Ben Roethlisberger in career completions on Sunday, moving him to sixth on the NFL’s all-time list (5,443) for most completions in NFL history.

Rodgers surpassed his former teammate Brett Favre on the all-time NFL career passing touchdown list with 509 TDs last week.

“It’s just a longevity achievement,” Rodgers said prior to surpassing Favre. “Some touchdowns, you make exceptional plays. Some, the scheme is so good, like the one to Jaylen (Warren) in the game. All I’ve got to do is not screw it up. And then sometimes you throw a short one to a guy and he goes 60 and it goes in the column all the same. So there’ve been a lot of guys involved in that, including the guys blocking, the guys calling the plays. Every now and then, I made some special throws that led to touchdowns, but I’ve been playing a long time. It’s a longevity thing that, you know, I’m proud of, but it’s not a big deal.”

Peyton Manning (539), Drew Brees (571) and Tom Brady (649) are the top 3 on the all-time NFL career passing touchdown list. Ben Roethlisberger (64,088), Brett Favre (71,838), Peyton Manning (71,940), Drew Brees (80,358) and Tom Brady (89,214) are currently the top five in all-time passing yards. Rodgers needs 310 yards to surpass Roethlisberger for fifth all-time in passing yards.

Rodgers can also become one of five quarterbacks in NFL history to beat all 32 teams with a win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 8 at Acrisure Stadium. It will be Rodgers’ first meeting against his former team since departing Green Bay after the 2022 season.

The four quarterbacks who have wins over all 32 NFL teams are Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Tom Brady and Drew Brees.
