The new Steelers quarterback is all in
The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially begun mandatory mini-camp. And while T.J. Watt is not in attendance, new quarterback Aaron Rodgers is. And according to second-year center Zach Frazier, the Steelers’ new signal-caller addressed the team for the first time during the team meeting.
“He talked [to the team] today,” Frazier said. “Just said he’s all in from now on.”
Rodgers has already taken time to bond with his new teammates. He was in attendance for Cam Heyward’s charity golf event on Monday, seen driving a golf cart and posing for a photo with his arm around new Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf.
Rodgers and the Steelers agreed to a one-year deal with a maximum value of $19.5 million and $10 million guaranteed. He’s coming off a season in which he threw 28 touchdowns to just 11 interceptions. If he can showcase some of what we’ve seen over the last 20 years, the Steelers will likely be back in the postseason with a chance to win a playoff game.
