Former Los Angeles Rams superstar Aaron Donald has been criticized on social media over a video in which he’s seen showing his nine-year-old boy the ropes.
Donald, a future Hall of Famer, retired last March after an incredible career. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year was an All-Pro in all but two seasons of his 10-year spell in the NFL and walked away as one of the best players to ever suit up for a defensive unit.
He’s now trying to pass his wisdom and experience down to his son, Aaron Jr., throwing him straight into the deep end as they went helmet-to-helmet at their house in a video he posted to his Instagram and captioned “Another day at the Donald’s.”
“Don’t be scared! If you can hit me, you can hit anybody,” he’s heard saying to the younger Aaron.
A woman believed to be his wife, Erica, is heard yelling “Not the head!” in the background, but they keep going, with Aaron encouraging his son to come at him harder.

The video has been the subject of much criticism, as fans have accused the Super Bowl winner of risking a brain injury.

On the flipside, some fans suggested he was actually taking it easy on the boy.
