It’s Week 3 and the New Orleans Saints (0-2) find themselves on the road this weekend to face the Seattle Seahawks (1-1) at Lumen Field.

It all started for these two teams back on November 21, 1976, which saw the Saints defeat the Seahawks by a whopping 51-21 at King County Stadium, better known as the Kingdome. The stadium was demolished in 2000, and Lumen Field was built on the site, which opened in 2002.

Sunday will be the 16th time that these two franchises have faced one another in the regular season, with Seattle winning the total series 10-8. The Saints have played the Seahawks twice in the post season, both times on the road and returning home without a victory. Their first playoff matchup was on January 8, 2011, known as the infamous “Beast Quake” game, which saw the Seahawks defeat the Saints 41-36, in the Wild Card round. Their second playoff matchup was on January 11, 2014, which saw the Saints fall to the Seahawks 23-15, in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

These two last played one another in the Caesars Superdome on October 9, 2022, which saw the Saints defeat the Seahawks 39-32. New Orleans is currently on a 4-game winning streak against Seattle.

Kickoff is at 3:05 pm and the game will be broadcast on CBS with Andrew Catalon (play-by-play), Charles Davis and Jason McCourty (color analyst) and Al Ross (sideline)
