What to expect from the old division rival.
The New Orleans Saints are set to start the month of November on the road in a matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. With the game taking place around the halfway point of the season for New Orleans and the trade deadline likely looming, it could end up being crucial.
The Rams made some offseason moves, including signing franchise quarterback Matthew Stafford to a two-year contract extension and releasing and replacing All-Pro wide receiver Cooper Kupp. Young defensive stars Jared Verse and Braden Fiske were also given another offseason to improve.
Los Angeles signed former Packers, Raiders, and Jets wide receiver Devante Adams to a two-year contract to replace Cooper Kupp. Adams is a three-time all-pro and six-time pro-bowler. He and Puka Nacua together form a potentially monstrous team.
Les Snead, the Rams general manager, expressed his confidence in the team on the Rich Eisen show in May.
“This team does have efficacy. It knows and believes that it can have success.” Snead said. “The key now is doing all the steps and all the things between now and then to reestablish the chemistry.”
Currently, the Rams have 45 wins to the Saints' 35. If they hope to take a chunk out of the deficit, they’ll have to use everything that they learned in the previous eight games and throughout the offseason.
