8/7/25 UPDATE: Miami Dolphins Orange Jersey Award TRACKER; Let’s get caught up!

While we migrated to our new site design (which caused a slight delay in the updating of this tracker), the Miami Dolphins continued training camp in Miami Gardens, Florida. As is customary in the Mike McDaniel regime, each day at practice, a new player is awarded the orange jersey given to the team’s best practice player from the previous session.

During our brief hiatus, two players were honored with the brightly colored threads.

Who were those players?

During the team’s 11th training camp practice, the newest long-term signee for the Dolphins, defensive tackle Zach Sieler was designated as the team’s orange jersey recipient. Miami inked Sieler to a new contract this week, making him the highest paid defensive player on the team — and then immediately gave him the orange jersey and the aux cable (which he used to play a whole bunch of country music)!

Following Sieler’s award, it was an offensive player’s turn to receive the award — second year wide receiver Malik Washington wore orange for the team’s 12th training camp practice! Washington is battling newcomer Nick Westbrook-Ikhine for the Dolphins’ third wideout spot, however most believe that both Washington and NWI will be used in specific pass catching roles in 2025.

Now that we’re officially caught up, continue to keep your eyes on The Phinsider for all of your Miami Dolphins training camp news as the team prepares to play the Chicago Bears in their first preseason contest this Sunday!
