’85 at 40/Bear & Balanced: Breaking Down Super Bowl XX
Windy City Gridiron Windy City Gridiron

This is the 40th anniversary of the Chicago Bears’ only Super Bowl championship, so we’ve been celebrating that great team on our 2nd City Gridiron channels in a limited series called ‘85 at 40. In case you missed it, Bill Zimmerman interviewed legendary journalist and reporter Dan Pompei, who covered that fantastic team. Bill and Jeff Berckes interviewed Hall of Fame left tackle Jimbo Covert and also defensive captain Gary Fencik.

There are several other interviews lined up, so stay tuned!

We wanted to give our Bear & Balanced spin on our own episode celebrating the 1985 Bears, so we put the 46-10 Super Bowl XX win over the New England Patriots through our day-after-cooled-down review.

We both watched the game over the weekend — it was JB’s first time, and my first since the original airing — and it was a fun way to spend the bye week.

Check out JB and me on our latest Bear & Balanced/’85 at 40 crossover podcast right here.
