De’Von Achane wears orange during Miami Dolphins training camp.

The Miami Dolphins continued training camp practices on Saturday morning, and with a flurry of moves in recent days which saw new faces brought to the club, one of the more consistent performers in South Florida was honored with the orange jersey award — an honor given to the team’s best practice player from the previous session.

Who was that player? Electric running back De’Von Achane!

Achane is Miami’s lead dog in the backfield after the Dolphins released veteran back Raheem Mostert (who signed with the Las Vegas Raiders), He’ll split time with another orange jersey award recipient — second year tailback Jaylen Wright.

Achane has proven himself to be a game-changing playmaker on offense for the Dolphins ever since his arrival during the 2023 NFL Draft. During his two-year career, the speedster has totaled 1,707 rushing yards with 14 touchdowns on the ground. His passing game work has been a massive boon to the Dolphins offense too — amassing 105 receptions for 789 yards and 9 touchdowns through the air.

We will be tracking which players receive the orange jersey honor as the offseason progresses. Want to help? Hit us up on Twitter/X at @thephinsider, or reach out to Marek Brave directly at @MBrave13, and let us know who is rocking the jersey with pride each day! Fins up!
