7 Super Bowl outcomes the sportsbooks are dreading
For The Win For The Win

Sometimes deciding what to bet on is as simple as knowing what the sportsbooks absolutely do not want to happen.

If the house always wins, tail the house, right?

Unfortunately, it’s not always that simple this time of year. With an event like the 2025 Super Bowl, there are so many markets available that even if you bet on the side the book is rooting for, you still might not end up with a profit.

Look no further than the preferred outcome for BetMGM as of Friday.

“Saquon [Barkley] and [Travis] Kelce are the worst outcome for touchdown scorers, and we are still rooting for the Eagles and the Under right now,” BetMGM trading manager Christian Cipollini said in an email. “Ideally, if the Eagles win we’d like them not to use purple or yellow Gatorade as well.”

So while we can’t recommend tailing any (or all) of these bets, it is worthwhile knowing what sportsbooks are rooting for on Sunday night. Here are some of the more notable outcomes that would displease the house.
