Our Reacts results are depressing.
A season that began with so much excitement and promise, which had a 4-2 start highlighted by this franchise's first three-game winning streak since 2020, has soured with two coach firings and a seven-game losing streak.
This isn’t what the Chicago Bears should be in year three of a rebuild.
They shouldn’t have taken a step back after revamping most of the offensive coaching staff.
Our continued hope and support should have finally been rewarded.
There’s plenty of blame to go around, but the old saying, the fish rots at the head, fits the Bears to a T.
We’ll never know how much George McCaskey prevented the Bears from doing last offseason or even earlier this season, but one thing’s for certain: the Bears have been mostly bad since he’s taken the lead for the family.
It seems like he’s finally willing to step back and let his people run his team, but until I see how this latest coaching search plays out, I’ll have my reservations.
Since they’re apparently sticking with him — unless today’s bombshell article from the Tribune’s Dan Wiederer is a precursor to something — this should be Ryan Poles’ call with some input from Kevin Warren.
The sad part about this week’s confidence results is that they came long before our fanbase had a chance to reflect on the latest Waren/Poles drama. That could sway voters, depending on whether they view it as positive or negative.
For me, I see it as a good thing Warren is there to hold Poles accountable because I sure as Hell don’t want Poles reporting to the chairman, who willingly admits he knows nothing about football.
Our partners at FanDuel Sportsbook still have the Minnesota Vikings favored by seven points for the Monday night contest. Minnesota won by three in OT when these two teams played a few weeks ago at Soldier Field, so considering the loud dome and the importance of the game for the Vikings, I think they are going to win again. I could see another close one, but right now, the Vikes are the better team.
