We rarely get to see a Victory Monday on the season opener, and now that we have the Arizona Cardinals sitting at 1-0, we can enjoy for the week.
In game one, we saw some good, some bad and a lot of just getting by.
Let’s take a look at five of the winners from game one and three of the players we would like to see a little more from next week.
Marvin Harrison Jr. – We can say let the breakout commence, but a lot people also way oversold how “bad” last year was. MHJ came out and looked really, really good in week one and put up a statline that would be heaven as his averages for the season with five catches for 71 yards and a touchdown.
Trey McBride – The Batman to MHJ’s Batman, the two headed monster of the Arizona Cardinals passing game looked like we had hoped for… Maybe even expected.
Paris Johnson Jr. – He is turning into one of the best in the NFL before our eyes. What a fun player.
Will Johnson Jr. – What a debut for Johnson. He looks like the real deal, now it’ll be about stacking games, but he was one of the best rookies to play in all of the NFL in week one. Something that Cardinals fans had hoped they would see.
Budda Baker – He continues to play at a high level, even as he gets older and older. He lead the team in tackles and was again a playmaker in the biggest moments.
Darius Robinson – Just looked like he wasn’t in game shape as of yet. But not the start we were hoping for in 2025.
Isaiah Adams – Again, one game, but the Cardinals rushing attack looked listless in the opener and the guard play was a major reason as to why.
Evan Brown – See above.
There are things we should be excited about, and things we are hoping to see improve after week one, but 1-0 is the best thing to come out of week one.
