The 2025 NFL trade deadline is just a few days away (Tuesday, Nov. 4), and we’ve already seen quite a few playoff contenders make moves to improve their depth. However, the top NFL trade candidates are still available, and there are a few Super Bowl contenders who could make a splash in the next few days.
Let’s dive into the five NFL trades we’d love to see.
In a perfect world, the Buffalo Bills would come out of the NFL trade deadline with a No. 1 receiver. Unfortunately for Josh Allen, those simply aren’t available. With the New Orleans Saints keeping Chris Olave and the Philadelphia Eagles hanging onto A.J. Brown, a deal for a field-stretcher is the best alternative. Rashid Shaheed would provide what Buffalo needs.
It hasn’t been the best contract year for Shaheed, who entered Week 9 with 431 receiving yards on 57 targets in eight games. However, he could thrive playing in the Bills’ offense and would provide Allen with a bona fide field-stretcher. In 2024, Shaheed had the highest deep target share (57.1 percent) in the NFL and posted the third-highest average depth of target (17.6 yards) among wide receivers. He could be a better version of what Allen had in Gabe Davis’ best years in Buffalo.

With Devon Witherspoon returning to the field in Week 9, cornerback Riq Woolen becomes expendable for the Seattle Seahawks. The former Pro Bowl selection has been prominent in NFL trade rumors this season, but the assumption around the league was that he’d only be available if the Seahawks had a healthy secondary. Coming off the bye, Seattle is in that exact situation and can flip Woolen to a team in need while addressing one of its own weaknesses.
A Dontayvion Wicks–Riq Woolen trade helps out both the Seahawks and Green Bay Packers. Seattle picks up some much-needed depth at wide receiver, with Wicks landing a new opportunity in an offense that has a bit of a hole at its No. 3 receiver spot. Another benefit for Seattle is that Wicks is under contract next season. As for Green Bay, the promising wideout becomes expendable thanks to the depth of a receiving corps that justifies making this move.

The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t moving Trey Hendrickson and even if edge rusher Myles Garrett were available, the Detroit Lions can’t really afford to take on his contract. Instead, Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes can swing a deal for veteran Saints edge rusher Cameron Jordan.
