The NFL Pro Bowl certainly isn’t the same thing it once was after the fear of injury basically wiped out any competitive spirit of the game. It’s now turned into more of an after-season celebration which is fine given the need to protect high-contract players from needless injury. It is still a nice honor for those who make it.
This year, the Cowboys had five players voted on to the initial roster. We know that rosters can change as players decline to participate or are involved in the Super Bowl, but as of right now three offensive players, one defensive player and a special teamer made it.
Prescott had a strong bounce-back year in 2025 throwing for over 4,000 yards and leading the Cowboys offense to the second-most yards per game in the NFL and fifth in scoring points.
Pickens has been the Cowboys best receiver this year and raised his profile even further around the league. His Pro Bowl performance is going to cost the Cowboys more money when they try to re-sign him, but they have made every indication they are going to keep him.
Smith is the foundation of the Cowboys offensive line, whether he stays at guard or is moved permanently to left tackle. Either way, Dallas struck gold when they drafted him.
Dallas didn’t have his services for the entire year, but even in the handful of games that we have seen Williams, his talent is undeniable. He wrecks the middle of offensive lines and is adept at stopping the run and pressuring the passer. The Cowboys have him for a couple of more years under contract.
Aubrey is so good that when he missed a couple of field goals in one game recently, we were all stunned. He is another player that the Cowboys need to get under contract this offseason.
