It took a battle that went all the way down to the last possible second, but the Bears came out of their bye week with a win against the Commanders on Monday Night Football, expelling the demons they faced from their MNF matchup in Washington last year.
As any one-point win will tell you, there were plenty of things that needed to be cleaned up in the Bears’ execution in all three phases. However, they clearly did enough right to come away with the victory. Encouraging flashes on offense and defense, as well as clutch kicking from Jake Moody, helped Chicago improve to 3-2 for the 2025 NFL season.
