While the San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers were shaking hands after the Niners’ Week 12 Monday Night Football victory, San Fran wide receiver Jauan Jennings took a couple of swings at Panthers’ safety Tre’von Moehrig, who clearly hit the pass catcher in the gonads during the game.
During the postgame pleasantries, Jauan Jennings — who had five catches for 41 yards and a touchdown in the sloppy 20-9 win — approached Tre’von Moehrig and took a couple of swipes at his facemask before players from each team broke them up.
After the game, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan had Jennings back, though, claiming that Moehrig took a “cheap shot and hit him in the balls.” Replays certainly back up Jennings’ and Shanahans’ accusations, as Moehrig can clearly be seen punching Jennings in the nuts during the game.
“Yeah the guy took a cheap shot and hit him in the balls. I was real proud of Jauan for not losing his mind out there,” Shanahan told the media after the Niners improved to 8-4 on the season.

The 49ers’ were able to secure the victory despite the putrid performance from quarterback Brock Purdy, who tossed three interceptions in the first half.
Luckily for San Francisco, Panthers QB Bryce Young was worse than Purdy as he threw for just 169 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, including an endzone INT that completely flipped the game’s momentum.
