The San Francisco 49ers have been embroiled in a feud with wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk throughout this offseason as the 2026 NFL season approaches. Aiyuk is still technically a member of the 49ers roster, but essentially the entire NFL world seems to expect either a trade or release to happen at some point in the near future.

For his part, Aiyuk has not been shy about taking jabs at the 49ers on social media and expressing his desire to join the Washington Commanders, and that continued with a new video posted on Thursday to Instagram, via Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team on X, formerly Twitter.

Brandon Aiyuk’s latest IG story shows him in a closet, tossing a bunch of money on the ground as another reminder to the 49ers of the money he’s made from them. https://t.co/N4u3O0W9fj pic.twitter.com/RREHEmnfGr

Aiyuk certainly doesn’t seem to be running out of money anytime soon, but both he and the 49ers want to get this saga over with as soon as possible. Aiyuk last played in the NFL during the 2024 season, at which point he suffered a brutal knee injury that forced him to miss the rest of that year and the entire 2025 campaign. However, even prior to that, there had already been plenty of rumblings about contract disagreements between himself and the 49ers, which led some to believe a parting of ways could be on the horizon.

It remains to be seen what kind of player Aiyuk will be the next time he takes the field after missing an entire season due to the injury, but clearly, he still believes he has plenty left in the tank to provide for a team, as long as that team isn’t the 49ers.
