Right now the Cowboys just need to lose because they are the Cowboys
Bad news: The San Francisco 49ers will not have Jauan Jennings for another week.
Good news: The 49ers get George Kittle and Deebo Samuel back.
The 49ers need to put together some wins, and who better to do it than the Dallas Cowboys? The game kicks off at 5:20 on NBC.
Regardless of what this season may—or may not—become, this is the Cowboys. No one wants them to win; everyone wants to see them miserable. Who better to do it than the 49ers, who have always had a hand in making life difficult for them?
There’s 2022:
Then there’s Brock Purdy’s second playoff game a year later:
And then there’s last year, where the Cowboys were talked up ridiculously in the lead-up. The 49ers proceeded to embarrass them hard on national TV.
That should bring you up to speed on the last few games. As we’ve said, the 49ers will be without Jennings but have Samuel and Kittle. The Cowboys have their own issues, namely, no Micah Parsons. I do think the 49ers “should” win this one, but until further notice, I’m just going to brace myself for more disappointment, but damn, if I don’t want the Cowboys to lose, and in the worst way possible.
Come on, 49ers. If this really is the season from hell, give us this.
