The San Francisco 49ers will be without star wide receiver Ricky Pearsall for Sunday’s win-or-go-home playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Ricky Pearsall is inactive for Sunday’s Wild Card Round game against the defending Super Bowl champions. The second-year wide receiver is still dealing with a knee injury that sidelined him for last week’s regular-season finale vs. the Seattle Seahawks.
The good news for the 49ers? All-Pro offensive tackle Trent Williams will play through a hamstring injury. On the other sideline, the Eagles will be without their own star OT Lane Johnson, who’s still fighting a foot injury.

Per Pro Football Reference, Ricky Pearsall caught 36 passes for 528 yards in nine regular-season games. In 11 games as a rookie, the 2024 first-round pick had 31 catches for 400 yards and three touchdowns.
Sunday’s showdown is a rematch of the 2022 NFC Championship Game. The Eagles won soundly after Brock Purdy (elbow) and No. 2 quarterback Josh Johnson (concussion) both left with injuries. Running back Christian McCaffrey had to take snaps behind center.
Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. EST at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles are looking to win their third NFC Championship in four years.
