San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa took a thinly-veiled swipe at the Dallas Cowboys this 4th of July, taking to social media to troll America’s Team on the country’s big day.
Bosa’s San Francisco side has enjoyed dominance against the Cowboys in recent years, beating them in their last four clashes, including consecutive eliminations in the playoffs.
The Niners star used the holiday to line the Cowboys up and knock them down, posting a photo of himself strip sacking Dak Prescott and captioning it with an American flag emoji. While it was definitely a shot at Dallas, the post also featured the flag’s colors.
So, of course, shade was thrown and shots were fired, yet Nick’s message was also patriotic.
Check it out right below:
“lowkey savage haha love it***,”*** a comment read.
“W POST***,”*** a follower claimed.
“The New Americas team***,”*** someone declared.
““Here we see One of the Highest Paid Players on America’s Team…. And Dak Prescott” 😂,” another joked.
Bosa is no stranger to controversy and seems to invite it at times. Last season, he got himself in hot water with the NFL, crashing a postgame broadcast with NBC while wearing a MAGA hat.
He was fined $11,255 for violating the league’s uniform and equipment rules, which prohibit players from displaying personal or personal messages while visible to audiences in stadiums and on TV.
Bosa claimed the fine was worth it, especially given that Donald Trump won the elections shortly after.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, may or may not respond to his jibe, but they will look to make him hurt when they meet on the gridiron again.
