Pro Football Rumors
The 49ers announced the signing of fourth-round defensive tackle Gracen Halton on Tuesday. The team now has its entire eight-member draft class under contract.
As the 107th overall pick, Halton will earn $5.62MM on his four-year rookie deal. The 6-2, 293-pounder is officially joining the 49ers after a four-year run at Oklahoma, where he was at his most productive over the past two seasons. Halton tallied 63 tackles, 13 TFL and 8.5 sacks in 26 games from 2024-25. He earned a second-team All-SEC nod in his final year with the Sooners.
Halton should “thrive” as a part-time player in the pros, according to The Athletic’s Dane Brugler, who ranked him the 127th-best prospect available before the draft. He will indeed begin his pro career in a part-time role in San Francisco, which sent a third-round pick to Dallas for defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa several weeks before the draft. Odighizuwa will start alongside 2025 second-rounder Alfred Collins in new coordinator Raheem Morris’ defense. The 49ers also have 2025 fourth-rounder CJ West, Evan Anderson, Sebastian Valdez, and undrafted rookies Bryson Eason and James Thompson under contract at D-tackle.
Now that 49ers general manager John Lynch has completed his draft signings, here is a refresher on the club’s 2026 class:
