The San Francisco 49ers released cornerback Isaiah Bolden from the practice squad, per the NFL’s transaction wire. The team signed him a week ago.

The 49ers, barring a setback, will likely activate edge rusher Yetur Gross-Matos from the Injured Reserve this Saturday. The team is also expected to get back Tatum Bethune, Sam Okayinonu, among others, which could all lead to more roster shuffling, making Bolden expendable.

We’ll see if the team brings back Bolden once he clears waivers. It’s unlikely this is the last transaction San Francisco makes this week. They’ll be busy, but we’re going to be a day behind on the schedule with a Monday night game in Week 16.

With Bolden’s release, Eli Apple is the lone cornerback on the practice squad. The other defensive back is Derrick Canteen.

The team seems set on the active roster with Renardo Green, Deommodore Lenoir, Upton Stout, Chase Lucas, Darrell Luter Jr., and Chase Lucas heading into the final three games of the season.
