Fan Duel’s win totals are out for the 2025 regular season, and the 49ers are projected to win double-digit games.

The first few waves of free agency are over. The San Francisco 49ers signed eight unrestricted free agents and claimed a cornerback from waivers.

The Niners also lost ten players in free agency, but outside of Charvarius Ward, Talanoa Hufanga, and Dre Greenlaw, the Niners shouldn’t have an issue replacing the others. Plus, Hufanga and Greenlaw have dealt with enough injuries that the defense has enough experience without them on the field. However, Mooney will be missed.

San Francisco isn’t short on talent. Nick Bosa and Fred Warner remain the anchors on defense. Deommodore Lenoir and Malik Mustapha are trending toward difference makers, and Renardo Green looked poised to start in this league for multiple years as a rookie. Adding Robert Saleh as defensive coordinator should save a few possessions a game.

FanDuel Sportsbook projects the 49ers to bounce back in a big way in 2025, setting San Francisco’s win total at 10.5. That’s one win lower than last season, but the Niners are coming off a six-win season that saw the Offensive Player of the Year and $120 million wide receiver miss the majority of the season, not to mention the litany of injuries at various positions, including quarterback.

The “Over” is more expensive, signaling oddsmakers believe the 49ers are more likely to win 11 games instead of 10. That could be due to Saleh having his starting defensive tackles for more than a month, which Nick Sorensen did not have a season ago.

Getting Brandon Aiyuk back before or around the midpoint of the season and keeping Christian McCaffrey healthy for the duration of the season will go a long way in adding the explosive element of the offense that was lacking in 2024.

Plus, there’s the third phase of the game. The 49ers' special teams were abysmal in 2024, ranking 31st in schedule-adjusted efficiency and in the bottom five in multiple categories. Regression to the mean might be worth a win, or enough field position over the course of the game that would either lead to or take away points for the Niners.

A month away from the draft, how many games do you believe the 49ers will win in 2025? Is 10.5 too optimistic or a reasonable amount, considering the team’s success under Kyle Shanahan? Scroll down and let us know in the comments. If you don’t have a login and want to join, here’s a link to sign up.
