San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk has been the heart and soul of Kyle Shanahan’s offense for nearly a decade. Coming off a terrific 2025 season, the 11-time Pro Bowler has no plans of slowing down as he prepares for his 14th NFL season.

Appearing on NFL Network’s “The Insiders,” the 35-year-old veteran made it clear that retirement isn’t on his mind.

“I have no pain whatsoever, and I feel like I’m still playing at such a high level,” Juszczyk told Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. “I haven’t put a number on when I want my career to end, but as it stands right now, I’m going to keep going until the wheels fall off.”

Juszczyk’s value goes way beyond standard box scores. For his career, the former Harvard standout has logged 234 rushing yards and six touchdowns, alongside 305 receptions for 2,877 yards and 20 touchdowns. In 2025, he remained a versatile weapon, even scoring a crucial touchdown catch against the Chicago Bears on Dec. 28. To keep expanding his game, Juszczyk spent his offseason practicing directly with the tight ends. He noted that the process helped him continue to grow, even as one of the league’s oldest offensive weapons.

The veteran’s durability and leadership are exactly what the Niners need. The NFC West is locked in an absolute arms race. The Seattle Seahawks enter the year as the defending Super Bowl champions, and the Los Angeles Rams aggressively upgraded their roster through the trade market. Despite dealing with massive injury bugs, San Francisco still scraped out 12 wins last year and won a gritty road playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

With rivals loading up, Juszczyk is eager to get back to work. He is especially excited about teaming up with tight end George Kittle to anchor the blocking schemes. The wheels aren’t falling off anytime soon in the Bay Area.
