The San Francisco 49ers are nearing their Week 9 contest against the New York Giants on Sunday, and the injury report has been revealed for Thursday’s practice.

Brock Purdy remained a limited participant in practice. Offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak was mum on who the starter would be against the Giants, while pointing out that Purdy has been taking more reps this week.

“Brock’s getting better, I know that, which is good,” Kubiak said on Friday. “He is doing more this week. He’s taking a few more reps. We’re going to let the week play out and see how it goes.”

But, the 49ers are getting some reinforcements on the defensive side of the ball, particularly up front with the defensive line.

Dee Winters, Yetur Gross-Matos, Sam Okuayinonu, and Alfred Collins were all back at practice in limited fashion on Thursday after missing Wednesday with various injuries. It’s looking like Gross-Matos could be back this week, while pass-rusher Bryce Huff will need another week with his hamstring injury.

Ricky Pearsall remained out, but was seen running on a side field. He’s trending towards missing yet another week with his knee injury.

Ben Bartch was a limited participant in practice for the second straight day. Here’s what Kyle Shanahan said Wednesday about his chances of playing this weekend.

“We’ll see how he practices. We’ll decide that when he goes, but the fact that he can get out there, it’s definitely a possibility. I think it’s been six weeks with an ankle [injury], so we’ll see how he looks on the field today.”

Upton Stout and Jordan Elliott also remained limited with shoulder and ankle injuries. But, Spencer Burford is trending towards returning as the team’s swing tackle, being a full participant in practice for the second straight day.

The 49ers did make one roster move on Thursday, signing offensive tackle Brandon Parker to the practice squad and releasing Andre Dillard. On Tuesday, the 49ers released Parker to sign Dillard. Now, they’re switching it back.
