The San Francisco 49ers are set to take on the Seattle Seahawks in roughly 90 minutes. The first inactive list is out:

RB Jordan James
WR Jordan Watkins
OL Drew Moss
OL Austin Pleasants
DL Robert Beal
DL Jordan Jefferson
LB Nick Martin

Martin is a mild surprise. We would have guessed Martin plays special teams. But the coaching staff likely trusts the veterans Curtis Robinson and Luke Gifford over the rookie. Linebacker Tatum Bethune is the other linebacker.

We could see Watkins as soon as next week. It looked like Watkins could play this week based on some practice clips on social media, but Ford didn’t have a full week of practice under his belt.

On the topic of rookies, Matt Maiocco reported that Marques Sigle gets the start at safety. That’s a sign he has earned Robert Saleh’s trust. It’ll be interesting to see if Ji’Ayir Brown plays at all, and how the defensive back rotations work in general.

Sam Okuayinonu gets the nod over Robert Beal Jr. That tells me the 49ers are looking for some pass rush juice on the outside. Beal doesn’t do anything that would warrant a spot over Sam O.

In a surprise to nobody, Christian McCaffrey is playing, as is Jauan Jennings.
