Four Kansas City players were absent from Wednesday’s practice session.
On Wednesday, the Kansas City Chiefs conducted the second session of this week’s mandatory minicamp at the team’s practice facility on the grounds of the Truman Sports Complex. Our Pete Sweeney was among the media representatives who got another look at the 2025 Chiefs.
As practice began, tight end Tre Watson was once again absent, along with wide receivers Rashee Rice and Justyn Ross (the latter after taking a hard fall on Tuesday) and running back Elijah Mitchell. Rookie tight end Jake Briningstool was once again present without a helmet — joined by cornerback Kristian Fulton — suggesting they would be limited in Wednesday’s workouts.
Following practice, quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce, cornerback Jaylen Watson and guard Mike Caliendo will be available to take media questions.
The final mandatory minicamp session will take place on Thursday. Reporters will be present for that practice — and will conduct interviews afterward.
