3 Player Props to Play: Cowboys at Bears
Windy City Gridiron Windy City Gridiron

The Dallas Cowboys and Matt Eberflus head to Soldier Field on Sunday afternoon to take on the Chicago Bears. The Bears will try to rebound from an absolute dismantling at the hands of the Detroit Lions, 52 to 21, last week.

Thanks to the lopsided game, the props weren’t as successful in week two. We went just 1-2 with the picks, putting us at 4-2 on the season. Had Tyson Bagent had an accurate throw to Colston Loveland in the fourth quarter, we would have hit a second prop and had a winning day, but that’s how things roll in the world of gambling.

We look to get better this week against the Cowboys, so here are three props that I like this week:

Caleb Williams OVER 236.5 Passing Yards -114

This one is a little bit of a faith bet. I think the Bears are going to be motivated to put some points on Matt Eberflus. I think Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams are starting to get on the same page. I think the struggling Dallas defense may be what the doctor ordered to start getting the Bears offense moving in the right direction.

I don’t know how well the Bears get the run game going, but I do think they’ll be able to make up for it through the air, and I think Caleb goes north of 250 yards passing on Sunday.

Dak Prescott OVER 264.5 Passing Yards -114

I don’t know how you don’t expect Dak Prescott to throw for 300 yards in this game. The Bears have been unable to generate a pass rush consistently, and the cornerback room is a MASH unit. Jaylon Johnson is out. Kyler Gordon has been ruled out. Backup Jaylon Jones is out. To pile on, linebacker TJ Edwards is out as well.

The Bears are going to struggle covering this Dallas Cowboys offense. I just don’t see how CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens have really good games, and Prescott has a big day through the air.

PARLAY: Cole Kmet OVER 15 yards, Colston Loveland OVER 10 yards +105

So far this season, Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland have been ghosts. The two of them have combined for just 5 catches for 72 yards and no scores through the first two games. After the Lions game, Ben Johnson said two interesting things. One, he said, he did a poor job getting the tight ends involved, and he needed to do a better job moving forward. He also hinted at the idea that some of the young guys may need to get some more snaps over the veterans based on effort and playing performances.

I’m going to run with those comments and say that both tight ends are more involved in the offense. We aren’t asking much: Kmet over 15 yards, Loveland over 10 yards, and you’ll get a small plus of +105 if it hits.

Bonus Tip: Roschon Johnson OVER Rushing Yards
