Would you place a wager on the Browns?

The odds for the 2026 Super Bowl are out (via FanDuel Sportsbook), and after opening at 35/1 odds last year, the Cleveland Browns have plummeted heading into next season with 140/1 odds. That gives the Browns the 27th best odds in the NFL, and last in the AFC North. The odds for the AFC North teams are listed below:

  • Cincinnati Bengals (18/1) - worse than last year, when they were 13/1
  • Baltimore Ravens (6.5/1) - better than last year, when they were 9/1
  • Cleveland Browns (140/1) - worse than last year, when they were 35/1
  • Pittsburgh Steelers (65/1) - better than last year, when they were 75/1

After a heroic playoff appearance two years ago, this past season was an utter disaster for the Browns, who finished 3-14 on the season. Among the things that went wrong: the new offensive coaching change with Ken Dorsey was a failure, Deshaun Watson continued to be a bad fit, then tore his Achilles twice, Nick Chubb didn’t look like the Chubb of old when he returned (and then broke his foot), and the defense was a shadow of its former self, rarely putting together a dominant performance.

Now, we have Myles Garrett saying he wants to be traded to a contender. The Browns’ front office are maintaining that they will bounce back immediately, but that can’t happen unless they answer the question at quarterback. However, if you do think Kevin Stefanski can work wonders with a quarterback who isn’t named Deshaun Watson, then maybe the 140/1 odds for the Browns are enticing enough to have you take a gamble.

The early favorites for next year’s Super Bowl are the Philadelphia Eagles (6/1), Kansas City Chiefs (6.5/1), Baltimore Ravens (6.5/1), Buffalo Bills (7.5/1), and Detroit Lions (10/1).
