The Philadelphia Eagles finished as the three-seed and will host the San Francisco 49ers who surprisingly finished third in their division despite a 12-5 record. The Eagles are looking to defend their Super Bowl title and that would have to begin with a home win in the Wild Card Round. Meanwhile, the 49ers are reeling after bombing at home in the final week with the one seed on the line scoring just three points.
Kickoff is set for Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. Mile High time at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and will air on FOX.
According to FanDuel, the Eagles are 5.5-point home favorites over the 49ers here. The 49ers were underdogs last week to the Seattle Seahawks at home with the one seed on the line and they were absolutely dominated from start to finish. It might be the worst game I’ve ever seen them play at home as a 12-win team. That performance gives me very little confidence they’ll do anything this week, especially after the Eagles defense came alive down after the bye giving up a paltry 14.5 points per game excluding the final week when they rested their starters. I’m going with Philly here all the way.
