With the Pittsburgh Steelers in the market for a quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft, Steelers Now will be taking stock of the draft class every week of the 2025 college football season.
STOCK UP: Joe Fagnano, UCONN
Very serious when I say #UConn's Joe Fagnano is a contender for draftable QB's in 2026. Solid frame at 6'4, a live arm and excellent IQ. Sign me up for some stock. pic.twitter.com/HfLizTIO10

He might not be in the first two day pick conversation, but he might have helped his case of getting onto an NFL training camp roster. The Pennsylvania native posted outstanding numbers this season en route to a 9-3 senior season.
After seven seasons in college football, he has plenty of football experience. More than plenty. This season, he threw 28 touchdowns and only one interception. He also led the Huskies to an undefeated run at home.
Again, Fagnano isn’t currently in the first, second, or third round conversation. However, an outstanding season at UCONN might have put him on the radar for a day-three or priority UDFA acquisition.

STOCK UP: Carson Beck, Miami
The Beck roller coaster led the Hurricanes to another big victory. Since their loss to SMU, Miami has beaten their last four opponents by three or more possessions. At the center of that is a quarterback who has climbed out of their midseason slump.

The past four weeks, the former five-star recruit has 11 touchdowns to only one interception. No game has seen Beck complete less than 75% of his passes during that win streak.
While Miami’s fate for the College Football Playoff now rests in the hands of the selection committee, his determination has got them to this point. Beck may not be able to get into the first round in April. However, a strong playoff run could change fortunes…

WORTH NOTING: Cade Klubnik vs. LaNorris Sellers
While Klubnik is almost certainly headed for the NFL draft, Sellers may or may not be. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind of his physical gifts. Unfortunately, it has been a tough season to evaluate him. The Steelers watched the two duel on Saturday.
The flashes were even there on Saturday. Sellers showed off his big arm and playmaking ability throughout the game. However, his fourth turnover of the day resulted in a pick-six. Couple that with a 1-of-11 third down performance and he remains a question mark.
Describe Cade Klubnik’s Clemson career in one play:

Klubnik wasn’t necessarily stellar...
