The Pittsburgh Steelers scouted Oregon quarterback Dante Moore for the third time this season, as they had a scout in attendance for the Ducks’ home win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Friday night.
Moore had another strong performance in a dominant 42-13 win over Minnesota, completing an absurd 27 of 30 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns.
The Steelers previously scouted Oregon and Moore in Week 5 and Week 8.
Moore has seen his draft stock skyrocket this season, starting the year in the 400s on the NFL Mock Draft Database consensus big board before bolting all the way to the top of the first round.
Moore is currently the No. 5 player on the big board, but despite that, there is some uncertainly as to whether or not he’ll come out for the draft or return to Oregon for a second season as a starter.
It’s been a rough season for Clemson and especially for quarterback Cade Klubnik, who entered the year as the No. 1 overall prospect for the 2026 NFL Draft, but has seen his stock plummet over the course of the season.
But Klubnik might be having a bit of a resurgence. After his draft stock bottomed out on Nov. 8 as the No. 124 player on the NFL Mock Draft Database consensus big board, he rebounded all the way to No. 59 this weekend.
The Steelers scouted Clemson and Klubnik on Friday night as they went on the road to beat the No. 19 ranked Louisville Cardinals.
It wasn’t a flashy performance for Klubnik, who completed 22 of 34 or 187 yards and did not throw a touchdown or interception, but it could continue the late-season rebound for his draft stock.
The Steelers have certainly done their due diligence, scouting Klubnik and Clemson for the fourth time this season.
