The pathetic performance by the Cleveland Browns in Week 10 has one, and only one, positive for fans: 2026 NFL draft order. Prior to the game, data showed that the loser of the matchup would have a huge advantage in the fight for the top overall selection in the upcoming NFL draft.
Then the Browns allowed the New York Jets to return two kicks for touchdowns, lost despite giving up just 54 yards of passing (40 on one play) and closed out the game with two straight defensive penalties on Jets third downs. With a bunch of bad teams, Cleveland has found a way to be among the worst.
Last week’s NFL draft order saw the Browns drop with both of their selections after bad luck and the Jacksonville Jaguars winning. Not as much of a problem in Week 10 with the loss to the Jets. A few other games went Cleveland’s way to help them move up some and have a much higher chance of getting a high pick by the end of the year:
Now, just one team is left with fewer victories than Cleveland: The Tennessee Titans
As of the end of the Sunday 1 PM games in Week 10, the Browns are slotted in with the fourth overall pick.
