                    Fans of the Cleveland Browns are professionals at tracking NFL draft orders. The joke has often been that the draft is the Super Bowl for Browns fans. Soon, it would be nice for that to change, but it is unlikely heading into the 2026 NFL draft.
Cleveland acquired an extra first-round pick in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars and is scheduled to have 10 selections in next year’s draft.
With the Browns on a bye in Week 9, there were social media posts about the team not losing this week. However, that really wasn’t true. After being slotted with the fourth and 18th picks after last week, Cleveland’s selection fell to the sixth selection, and Jacksonville fell a spot to 19th.
The Browns were close to seeing the Jaguars pick jump to 15th, but the Las Vegas Raiders overtime two-point attempt, to a wide open receiver, was knocked down at the line of scrimmage:
A tie would have left Jacksonville with the 16th pick. Instead, for now, the Jaguars are slotted in as the final Wild Card team in the AFC.
Due to the Strength of Schedule tiebreaker favoring Cleveland, the results of Monday Night Football between the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals will not impact the slotting of either Browns picks heading into Week 10.
