Who is the best quarterback in dynasty fantasy football? We’re in an incredible era for quarterback play, with dual-threats almost becoming the norm in the National Football League. As a few long-time stars now enter their 30s, a new wave of talent is coming in that should ensure this is a deep position for years to come.
Let’s dive into our 2026 dynasty QB rankings. We are straying from the consensus a bit with a few of these picks.
The top spot in our dynasty quarterback rankings has to go to the signal-caller who is entering his age-24 season. Last year with the New England Patriots, Drake Maye put up 4,844 total yards of offense (4,394 passing and 450 rushing) with 35 total touchdowns. He did that with Stefon Diggs and Kayshon Boutte as his top pass-catchers. Maye now has A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs with a better offensive line protecting him, and there’s guaranteed long-term continuity at play-caller since Josh McDaniels will never be an NFL head coach again. Maye’s numbers and talent give him a chance to be an NFL MVP candidate for the next decade-plus, and that carries the most weight in dynasty.

If these were exclusively 2026 fantasy QB rankings, Josh Allen would be at the top. The centerpiece of the Buffalo Bills‘ offense is coming off his third consecutive season with 500-plus rushing yards and double-digit touchdowns. From 2023 to 2025, he’s averaged 544.7 rushing yards and 13.7 rushing touchdowns per season with another 11,705 passing yards (3,901.7 per season) and 82 touchdowns (27.3 per season) through the air. That’s the great news. What drops him from a dynasty perspective is the fact that Allen is entering his age-30 season, and he’s played 143 games, including the NFL playoffs, over the last seven years with hundreds of body blows to his 6-foot-5 frame. We’re not saying a Cam Newton-like decline is coming, but dynasty managers should remind themselves of how those hits take a toll on a quarterback whose fantasy value is carried heavily by his rushing ability and red-zone usage.
Joe Burrow‘s lack of durability is why, despite being placed third in our dynasty QB rankings, he’s a tier below Drake Maye and Josh Allen. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback has only played in 35 of a possible 51 games in the last three seasons, and he played through injuries in some of those starts. With that said, he is one of the most impressive passers in the NFL and operates an offense that will always be near the league leaders in passing rate with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins locked in as elite offensive weapons. We’d also note that when Burrow has played 16-plus games, he’s averaged 4,668 passing yards and 37.3 passing touchdowns per season with a completion rate near 70...
