2026 Browns mock draft: Sliding down a few spots changes options

2026 Browns mock draft: Sliding down a few spots changes options
Dawgs By Nature Dawgs By Nature

The current 2026 NFL draft order has the Cleveland Browns out of position for the top two quarterbacks of this draft cycle. The Browns could use the extra pick they have from the Jacksonville Jaguars to move up a few spots, but that would assume A) they wouldn’t be outbid by a team like the New York Jets and B) a team would be willing to move down and not select a quarterback themselves.

Instead, for the first time in a while, our latest Cleveland NFL mock draft does not include a top quarterback. Last week, it was Dante Moore. The week before, it was Fernando Mendoza. With this Browns mock draft, you can assume whichever realistic quarterback you would prefer (Shedeur Sanders, Malik Willis, Geno Smith, Joe Flacco, etc).

This week, we used Pro Football Network’s Mock Draft Simulator to assist in building Cleveland’s roster, mostly on offense:

Round 1 – OT Spencer Fano, Utah

The best tackle prospect in this year’s draft helps solidify the line in front of any quarterback

Round 1 – WR Chris Bell, Louisville

A 6’2”, 230-pound receiver who is fast with long arms and willing to be physical checks all the boxes needed to upgrade the passing game

Round 2 – WR Ja’Kobi Lane, USC

Lane takes the size quotient to a higher level at 6’4” but with a leaner frame and the ability to make contested catches, separate from defenders, and high point the football

Round 3 – OL Monroe Freeling, Georgia

Much like the receiver position, if one is good, two is great. Freeling has the wingspan and physical traits to dominate on the right side of the offensive line

Round 4 – DE Kenyatta Jackson Jr., Ohio State

Giving Myles Garrett more teammates with versatility is great for the defense. Jackson can move around on the defensive line and help cause even more havoc

Round 5 – RB Emmett Johnson, Nebraska
Round 5 – TE Dae’Quan Wright, Ole Miss
Round 5 – CB Hezekiah Masses, Cal

Building the depth of Cleveland’s roster with players who could develop into starters down the line, Johnson, Wright, and Masses will be able to contribute right away if needed.

Round 6 – S Jalen Huskey, Maryland
Round 6 – QB Drew Allar, Penn State

Some Browns fans thought Allar was the hero they needed last year, while many draft analysts saw a ton of flaws. Another poor season with the Nittany Lions and a major injury mean Allar is just hoping to get drafted

Round 7 – DT Rayshaun Benny, Michigan

When in doubt, add to the lines

Now that the Browns have fallen out of contention for the top pick, what do you think about this 2026 mock draft with the receivers and offensive line given a ton of attention?
