During this year’s free agency cycle and 2026 NFL draft, all four AFC North teams made significant moves to add talent to their rosters. While more additions are still possible over the next few months, everyone’s core players are mostly set ahead of the 2026 season.
How do the different positional groups in the division stack up to one another? Let’s rank the AFC North squads by position, continuing with offensive tackle.
Starters: Ronnie Stanley, Roger Rosengarten
Depth: Carson Vinson, Gerad Lichtenhan
The Ravens are returning their same starting offensive tackle duo of Ronnie Stanley and Roger Rosengarten for the third consecutive season. Stanley played through some injuries again in 2025 but started 16 games, although his total offensive snaps dropped by over 200 from the previous season. Rosengarten, meanwhile, did not necessarily make the huge sophomore leap that many anticipated. His PFF grade of 74.5 ranked 25th among all tackles, with his run blocking slightly more effective than pass blocking. Rosengarten taking a big step forward in Year 3 is viable. The Ravens don’t have great proven depth behind them, as their primary backup is 2025 fifth-round pick Carson Vinson. While Vinson has great athletic traits and untapped upside, he’s still early in his development. Adding another veteran tackle over the summer is not out of the question.
Starters: Broderick Jones, Troy Fautanu
Depth: Max Iheanachor, Dylan Cook
While the Steelers used a first round pick on offensive tackle Max Iheanachor, the Arizona State product is not projected to start right away. He’ll provide immediate depth as a swing tackle and long-term upside, at the very least. Troy Fautanu, a former first-round pick in 2024, assumed a full-time starting role across 17 games last season in his sophomore year. Fautanu was a better graded pass blocker than run blocker in 2025, finishing just outside the Top 40 in PFF grades at the position. A step forward in his development this coming season should be in the cards. Opposite him, Broderick Jones is another recent first-round pick (2023) who is returning from a neck injury. Whether Jones will be ready for the start of the season remains to be seen, as he’s yet to take part in on-field action thus far. If Jones’ return is pushed beyond September, Iheanachor would likely be thrown into action early on in his rookie year.
Starters: Spencer Fano, Tytus Howard
Depth: Dawand Jones, Austin Barber
The Browns bolstered their offensive tackle spot via the draft, selecting Utah’s Spencer Fano early in the first round at No. 9 overall. Fano was widely considered one of the top offensive lineman prospects available and possesses positional versatility, although he’s projected to start at left tackle. They also acquired veteran Tytus Howard in a trade from the Houston Texans and promptly gave him a three-year contract extension, indicating they view him as a starter at the other tackle spot.
