Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season takes center stage with a handful of late afternoon games today. The New York Jets played the Buffalo Bills in an early afternoon game this week.
The headliner this week has the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch of last season’s Super Bowl. The 0-1 Chiefs come into this game smarting from a tough 27 – 21 road loss to the Los Angeles Chargers to open the season. Now they try to avoid the dreaded 0-2 start against an extremely tough opponent. The 1-0 Eagles opened the season with a surprisingly difficult 24 -20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Now they look to get things right and continue unbeaten for the 2025 season against an always tough Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. This game has the makings of an early season classic.
There are just two other late afternoon games on tap this weekend. The 1-0 Indianapolis Colts host the 1-0 Denver Broncos, and the 1-0 Arizona Cardinals host the 0-1 Carolina Panthers.
