We’re counting down the days until the Panthers open up the 2025 season!
There are 86 days between us and the first day of the season for the Carolina Panthers. To commemorate the occasion, we talk about #86 in your Panthers program, rookie wide receiver Kobe Hudson.
Hudson joined the Panthers as an undrafted free agent a couple weeks after the 2025 NFL Draft. He played five seasons of college football, two at Auburn and three at UCF. After spending most of his freshman season on the bench, he turned in four solid seasons topping out with 900 yards and eight touchdowns in his first senior season. He finished his college career with 181 catches for 2961 yards and 23 touchdowns.
Hudson faces a stuff uphill battle to make the roster. The Panthers already have most of their receiver room set, and Hudson doesn’t have a standout skill that the Panthers are sorely lacking. He has very average size with very average athleticism. His most attainable goal would be to show out during camp to earn himself a spot on the practice squad where he can hone his craft as he tries to earn a call up to the active roster.
