The 2025 Pro Bowl Games begin on Thursday night, and there will be six Detroit Lions players in attendance: quarterback Jared Goff, running back Jahmyr Gibbs, center Frank Ragnow, tackle Taylor Decker, safety Brian Branch, and punter Jack Fox.
On Wednesday, the NFL released the event details of the 2025 Pro Bowl, which features some brand-new competition that could be at least mildly entertaining for any football-starved Lions fans. They also announced the participants for each event.
Here are the competitions you can see Lions players take part in starting on Thursday night.
Note: Remember that Amon-Ra St. Brown and Penei Sewell withdrew from the Pro Bowl due to injuries
Event description:
Quarterbacks try to hit targets at various distances around the field worth different point values in 40 seconds. Before the challenge, each quarterback will select a Pro Bowl Games teammate to answer five trivia questions about current Pro Bowl players. For every correct answer, the quarterback gets an additional 10 seconds. The winner of the competition is the team with the quarterback who scores the most points.
Lions participant: Jared Goff will participate, and Packers running back Josh Jacobs will be his partner, answering trivia questions to add to his time to throw.
Other participants: The other QB participants are Joe Burrow, Drake Maye (lol), Russell Wilson, Sam Darnold, and Baker Mayfield.
Event description:
Three big men from each conference step up to the Spike-o-Meter and have three attempts to score the highest number on their spike. The player with the highest score, measured by power and impact, will win their conference three points.
Lions participant: Frank Ragnow
Other participants: Rashawn Slater, Quinnen Williams, Joel Bitonio, Chris Lindstrom, Dexter Lawrence
Event description:
A simultaneous relay-style event where four players from each conference complete a 40-yard dash before handing a football to the next athlete on their team, continuing until the fourth and final leg crosses the finish line. The conferences will compete in three rounds, with the fastest team winning.
Lions participants: Jahmyr Gibbs and Brian Branch will team up with Jaycee Horn and Micah Parsons for one of three heats
Other participants: The Lions players will be up against this quartet of AFC players: Jonathan Taylor, Pat Surtain, Danielle Hunter, Patrick Ricard
