2025 NFL Week 16: Minnesota Vikings at New York Giants
Daily Norseman Daily Norseman

The final road trip of the 2025 NFL season for our Minnesota Vikings comes this Sunday, as they will hit the road for MetLife Stadium to face the New York Football Giants.

The purple are looking to extend their first winning streak of the season to three games, as they’re coming off of a pair of impressive victories. They blasted the Washington Commanders 31-0 a couple of weeks ago, and they followed that up by defeating the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football this past week by a score of 34-26. They’ve been led by some stifling defense and a resurgence from young quarterback J.J. McCarthy, who has accounted for three touchdowns in each of the Vikings’ last two games.

The Giants are playing out the string for the season. They come into this game with a record of 2-12 and have lost their last eight games. Since firing coach Brian Daboll and handing the reins to Mike Kafka, they have gone 0-4, including a loss to the Commanders at home last week. They would hold the #1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft if the season ended today.

These two teams met in the season opener on this same field in 2024, and the Vikings won easily by a score of 28-6. Minnesota will finish their 2025 schedule with a pair of home games against division rivals, as they’ll face the Detroit Lions on Christmas Day and the Green Bay Packers in Week 18 to finish the season.

This game sees the Vikings as a betting favorite for the first time since their Week 5 matchup against the Cleveland Browns in London. Minnesota is currently a 2.5-point favorite over the Vikings heading into this week’s game.

Kickoff for this one is scheduled for noon Central time on Sunday afternoon, with coverage bring provided by the FOX family of networks, including KMSP-9 in the Twin Cities. We will have all of our coverage of this week’s game in this stream for you, so keep checking back for the latest.
