Fans are always debating player rankings, and when it comes to the NFL, no position is more hotly debated than quarterback. This is why we continue to maintain our NFL QB rankings year-round.
Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow are widely viewed as some of the best players in football. While they set an elite standard for quarterback play, our 2025 NFL QB rankings capture how all 32 starting quarterbacks perform every week. Updated weekly throughout the season, who are the best NFL quarterbacks right now?
Josh Allen got behind early on and even had just 0.9% chance of winning the game, but he helped the Buffalo Bills rally with 16 points in the final four minutes of play. One of the NFL’s best quarterbacks today had a monstrous performance, with 394 yads, two passing touchdowns, and two rushing scores to go with 30 yards on the ground. His MVP campaign is off to a fantastic start.

Lamar Jackson thought scoring 40 points would be enough to slay the Bills. While Derrick Henry’s fumble was a gamechanger, so was Jackson throughout the game. He’d complete 14-of-19 passes for 209 yards, good for 11 yards per attempt. Jackson passed for two touchdowns, and ran for another while racking up 70 yards in a great day for his fantasy owners.

Patrick Mahomes already didn’t have Rashee Rice, then he lost Xavier Worthy on the third play of the Kansas City Chiefs‘ season. Still, Mahomes managed to grind out 258 passing yards (albeit on 38 attempts). However, only finding the end zone once through the air came back to bite them in the 27-21 loss to the Chargers. Mahomes still had a good day for fantasy owners, tacking on 57 yards and a rushing score, but the Chiefs want Super Bowls, and they started behind the eight-ball.

Leading the NFL in yards and touchdowns, Joe Burrow had an MVP season in 2024. Yet, as amazing as Burrow was, it still wasn’t good enough to outshine Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen’s efforts. We expected the Cincinnati Bengals to start with a huge chip on their shoulders, but so did the Browns’ defense. Facing what felt like constant pressure, Burrow ended up taking three sacks, and he didn’t have a single pass go for more than 20 yards. Considering he only tallied 113 yards and a touchdown, this may end up being his ugliest stat line of the season. Fantasy owners may think twice before starting him against Myles Garrett again.
