2025 NFL power rankings, Week 4: Falcons’ ranking reflects Sunday’s poor play
The Falcoholic The Falcoholic

Four weeks in, the NFL’s hierarchy is starting to take shape, and the surprises keep coming. The Bills have climbed to the top spot, the Eagles and Lions continue to flex as NFC heavyweights, and teams like the Commanders and Colts are forcing their way into the conversation. On the other side, some preseason favorites are sliding, with the Dolphins and Bears finding themselves near the bottom. It’s still early, but the contenders and pretenders are starting to separate.

So, let’s get into the rankings.

  1. Buffalo Bills (3-0) (even)

The Bills are at the top. They continue to take care of business. They continue to field a top-five offense and a top-ten defense. They continue to set the standard, and who knows who may be able

  1. Philadelphia Eagles (3-0) (+1)

Just. Keep. Winning. Sure, it wasn’t the cleanest. It wasn’t the sexiest. But Philadelphia found a way to get the win at the end of the day. And with a roster that talented, that’s all that matters.

  1. Detroit Lions (2-1) (+2)

A week after proving that they belong in the elite conversation, Detroit gets a signature win against Baltimore to solidify that it’s going to take more than losing a couple of coordinators to keep this Lions team down.

  1. Los Angeles Chargers (3-0) (+2)

Los Angeles is slowly becoming my favorite team to watch on a week-to-week basis. Justin Herbert looks steady, the defense is stellar (Jesse Minter should probably start prepping for HC interviews next year), and the team looks like a legitimate threat in the NFL.

  1. Baltimore Ravens (1-2) (-1)

No, I’m not dropping the Ravens out of my top five yet. I’ll be a week late on the doom and gloom that surrounds a team that lost by a total of 9 points to two of the top five teams on my list. Stop shooting yourself in the foot, Baltimore. You’ll be fine.

  1. Green Bay Packers (2-1) (-4)

Hey Packers, what the hell was that? Do I think this is probably just an early-season aberration? Probably. But this team has been privy to weird performances like they had against Cleveland. I don’t see it happening too many more times this season, but man. That looked rough.

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-0) (+1)

Tampa Bay keeps finding a way to win, and as a Falcons writer, it’s the most annoying thing to see them look as well-structured offensively as they do. They are the cream of the crop in the NFC South, and it’s not necessarily close right now.

  1. Kansas City Chiefs (1-2) (-1)

That was a win, but it was a truly ugly win against the New York Giants. I’m not sure what to make of this Chiefs team just yet, but they haven’t been necessarily impressive in this early stretch of the season. I’m not writing them off, I’m just saying that I’m concerned.

  1. Washington Commanders (2-1) (+1)
