Could the Chargers target Jim Harbaugh’s former receiving talent in the 2025 NFL Draft?

In what will be one of the most common connections made between now and the 2025 NFL Draft in April, the pairing of Michigan tight end Colston Loveland with his former coach could be an absolute slam dunk for a Chargers team looking for more production out of the tight end position moving forward into next season.

Loveland comes in after a super productive career with the Michigan Wolverines that included a national championship under Jim Harbaugh. Loveland stands out as one of the better and more refined players in the entire draft and has a chance to go much higher than this should another team fall in love. Given the sometimes flaky value of the tight end position in the draft, it’s possible he falls squarely into the lap of the Chargers.

A rangy and athletic weapon at the position, Loveland boasts a solid resume coming into a strong tight end class. Loveland in his final season with the Wolverines put up an impressive 582 yards and 5 touchdowns as one of the teams’ top weapons. Loveland is of course a quintessential Jim Harbaugh player and could bring a major boost to both the running attack as a blocker and a versatile pass catcher that can stretch the middle of the field.

Is Colston Loveland someone you would like to see the Chargers target come April?
