Diving into some of Cleveland’s potential draft targets at each position at the NFL Combine

The 2025 NFL Scouting Combine officially begins next week and the Cleveland Browns will undoubtedly be keeping an eye on a slew of players across multiple positions.

Players begin to arrive on Sunday in preparation for official medicals, weigh-ins, and measurements before beginning on-field workouts and drills later in the week.

Today we’re going to take a look at some players at each position that could be targets for the organization based on scheme fit, play style, and positional value in each pick range.

Quarterbacks

Miami’s Cameron Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders are the obvious targets to watch here but there are a few other QB’s that the team will most likely be keeping tabs on as well.

Alabama’s Jalen Milroe and Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart are in the next tier at the position that could be on Cleveland’s radar due to their mobility and overall playmaking ability. Dart is beginning to rise up draft boards, so there’s a chance he’d be the top guy available at pick 33 if they wait until then.

Ohio State’s Will Howard, Texas’ Quinn Ewers, and Syracuse’s Kyle McCord have been productive quarterbacks within structure who could be available in round three or later for Cleveland.

Day Three: Indiana’s Kurtis Rourke, Minnesota’s Max Brosmer

Running Backs

UNC’s Omarion Hampton and Iowa’s Kaleb Johnson are likely the top two ball carriers that are going to be available for the Browns if they decide to take a running back early in the 2025 NFL Draft. Both Hampton and Johnson have the ability and potential to be Day 1 starters at the position, or in a 1A/1B-type committee with Nick Chubb (if re-signed/extended).

Ohio State duo TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins along with Tennessee’s Dylan Sampson and Oklahoma State’s Ollie Gordon II are four guys that might be in Cleveland’s second-tier when it comes to the position.

Day Three: Kansas State’s D.J. Giddens, Kansas’ Devin Neal, Oregon’s Jordan James, Auburn’s Jarquez Hunter, UCF’s R.J. Harvey, Miami’s Damien Martinez

Wide Receivers

Ohio State’s Emeka Egbuka, Ole Miss’ Tre Harris, and Texas’ Matthew Golden are undoubtedly the top players that Cleveland would consider at pick 33, while guys like Iowa State’s Jayden Higgins, Oregon’s Tez Johnson, and Miami’s Xavier Restrepo would be in the next tier (pick 67 or later).

TCU duo Savion Williams and Jack Bech, Utah State’s Jalen Royals, and Iowa State’s Jaylin Noel are all top-100 players who would likely be the main targets in round 3.

Day Three: Maryland’s Tai Felton, Illinois’ Pat Bryant, UNLV’s Ricky White III, Washington State’s Kyle Williams, PITT’s Konata Mumpfield, Auburn’s KeAndre Lamber-Smith, Texas’ Isaiah Bond

Tight Ends

Bowling Green’s Harold Fannin Jr., Texas’ Gunnar Helm, and Miami’s Elijah Arroyo are most likely the top players at the position that the Browns would consider based on value. Oregon’s Terrance Ferguson, LSU’s Mason Taylor, and Iowa’s Luke Lachey are all athletic guys...
