With Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season looming, the Cincinnati Bengals will soon be trimming the current team down to a 53-man roster.
Along with all other 31 NFL teams, the Bengals have until 4:00 PM ET on August 26 to trim the roster down to 53 active players. Once players are placed on waivers, they’re eligible to be claimed by teams until 4:00 PM ET on August 27. After that, the waived players who go unclaimed are eligible to be signed as free agents or to practice squads.
The practice squad can hold 16 players and, in some instances, 17 if there’s an international prospect, which the Bengals currently do not have.
