WCG’s lead draft analyst shares his updated Bears mock draft with the regular season having come to a close.
With the Chicago Bears’ season having come to a close, there’s no better time for a mock draft.
The 2024-25 season ended in disappointing fashion for Chicago, having gone 5-12 in a season that was expected to see them compete for a playoff spot. Firing head coach Matt Eberflus gave them the hard reset the organization needed, and whoever the new coach ends up being will have some nice draft capital to work with in the 2025 NFL Draft.
All of the Bears’ selection spots in the 2025 NFL Draft have been finalized. Obviously, they can trade out of these picks if they choose to, but this is where they stand with each of their picks currently:
Without further ado, here’s my latest 2025 Bears 7-round mock draft — and my first one with a trade!
Campbell is a Day 1-ready offensive lineman with a strong anchor, a powerful punch at the initial point of contact, and very good spatial awareness against exotic rush packages. He’s a solid athlete and a coordinated blocker who I would slot in as a guard in 2025 in this situation. If Braxton Jones has a strong year, you can extend him and keep Campbell along the interior. If not, the LSU standout could become your long-term answer on the blind side.
Sawyer’s strip-sack and fumble recovery for touchdown in the semifinals solidified his legacy in Ohio State program history, but he’s long been a key contributor for the Buckeyes’ defense. He’s quick, powerful at the point of attack and rushes with a relentless motor in pursuit off the edge. The Bears are in need for a long-term answer at defensive end opposite Montez Sweat, and Sawyer projects as a potential option in Round 2.
Steelers receive: No. 41 overall pick, 2026 fourth-round pick
Bears receive: No. 52 overall pick, No. 122 overall pick (Round 4), 2026 third-round pick
It doesn’t necessarily have to be the Steelers in this case, but as it currently stands, the Bears don’t have extra future draft capital for the 2026 NFL Draft. This trade sees Chicago pick up a fourth-round pick — which they currently don’t have due to the Austin Booker trade — and move up a round in the 2026 class.
