Pride of Detroit
For some, this weekend will be unbearable. The Detroit Lions are out of the playoffs, and I imagine that will be enough to keep some Michiganders away from the television this week.
I am not among those people.
I love NFL football, and while it’s undoubtedly going to hurt seeing teams in the postseason with—in my opinion—worse rosters than the Lions, I can withstand that realization, because NFL playoff football is just too good. It’s high-stakes, it’s high-drama, and it’s some of the best athletes in the world competing at the highest level. I spent decades watching the NFL playoffs without the Lions. I think I can stand to watch one more year without them.
Today, it’s time to make our predictions for the entire 2025-26 NFL playoff bracket, including my pick for the winner of Super Bowl 60.
My answer: I will go conference-by-conference.
As a reminder, here’s the NFC playoff seeding:
Wild Card round:
Divisional round:
NFC Championship Game
AFC playoff seeding:
Wild Card round:
Divisional round:
AFC Championship Game:
Super Bowl 60
Personally, I just think the Rams are the most well-rounded team in football, despite a bit of a turbulent end to their season.
