The 2025 NFL schedule is in full swing. With the NFL Week 6 schedule kicking off Thursday and continuing with more football games on Sunday and Monday, we have a lot to look forward to. This week, there are 15 NFL matchups to preview featuring 30 teams in action.
Football fans can look forward to several exciting matchups, including the Arizona Cardinals vs Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys vs Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks vs Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Rams vs Baltimore Ravens at 1 pm. The late afternoon crowd gets the San Francisco 49ers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Meanwhile, the primetime action is even better.
Below, we dive into one bold prediction for each game on the Week 6 NFL schedule.
Saquon Barkley isn’t on a revenge tour anymore after leading the NFL with 2,005 rushing yards last season. After some offensive line changes, Barkley’s numbers are down across the board, averaging 3.2 yards per carry instead of the 5.8 he averaged in 2024.
Meanwhile, Giants fourth-round rookie Cam Skattebo is actually outdoing Barkley, averaging 3.8 yards per carry. He’s also recorded 45 or more receiving yards in two of his last three games. Skattebo has also averaged 105 yards from scrimmage over that span, showing true RB1 potential for the Giants.
The real surprise here would be if Skattebo could outperform Barkley, even if it’s just for one game. That would surely put a smile on Giants GM Joe Schoen’s face after he deemed Barkley too expensive for New York.
The New York Jets have set a dubious mark as the first team known to record zero turnovers through five games. It’s not for a lack of effort, or a lack of talent. Plus, we can’t act like Jets head coach Aaron Glenn hasn’t been preaching the importance of turnovers since he took the job. Eventually we’ll see a big breakout performance from a Jets defense that features Quinnen Williams and Sauce Gardner and it could come this week against a fairly young Broncos offense that has multiple first and second-year players.
The Arizona Cardinals have shown more potential in Jonathan Gannon’s third season as head coach, but they’re still learning how to finish. After losing three consecutive games on last-second field goals, you’d expect the Cards to be especially hungry this week against a 4-1 Colts team. It all starts with their on-field leader. If Kyler Murray can get the Cardinals on the board early and often, they could pull off the type of galvanizing win that sets up a successful season.
The Los Angeles Chargers started hot by winning three in a row. Injuries have impacted them in the past two games, both losses, and now they won’t have either of their top two running backs on Sunday. Meanwhile, Mike...
