Gang Green Nation
The Jets were one of the league’s most active teams at the NFL trade deadline. The team sold, sending two star players out in trades. Sauce Gardner went to Indianapolis for a pair of first round picks. Quinnen Williams went to Dallas for a first round pick and a second round pick.
The Jets have received a lot praise in the national media for these moves, and they also received high grades from fans in this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey. More than eight in ten fans who voted in our poll said they liked what the Jets did.
Interestingly the trade deadline did not lead to a spike in overall fan confidence. Only 56 percent of fans say they are confidence in the team’s direction, a small increase over last week’s 51 percent.
This is one where I’m not sure how to explain the discrepancy. The trades were franchise changers. If you liked what the Jets did at the deadline, I’m not entirely sure how you wouldn’t be confident in the team’s overall direction. The Jets just had their bye week so it isn’t like there was a loss to sour moods.
In any event, it was a monumental week for the franchise.
