The Pittsburgh Steelers inked edge rusher Nick Herbig to a four-year, $100 million contract extension on Tuesday, and they have wasted no time working toward another deal done with another former Wisconsin Badger.
Per Alan Saunders of Steelers Now, Pittsburgh and defensive tackle Keeanu Benton are beginning to work out a new deal.
“The Steelers are working toward a new deal with DT Keeanu Benton, per source,” Saunders posted on X. “Nothing necessarily imminent, but it’s in the works. His agent, Joe DiBenedetto, who he shares with Nick Herbig, was at the team’s facility today.”
Like Herbig, Benton was part...

Jaguars fans — do you think the team should’ve traded for Myles Garrett?
Please take our surveyThe possibility of a Garrett trade soared in late March, when the Cleveland Browns adjusted his contract to push back about $10 million in guaranteed money until the start of the season. That was a not-so-subtle way to tell the rest of the league that...

For much of the offseason, questions have surrounded New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara and what his future with the organization holds.
Those questions grew louder in recent weeks as speculation continued regarding whether Kamara would remain with the Saints or be released/traded. However, the veteran running back helped quiet some of that noise this week with a surprise appearance at week two of Saints OTAs.
Kamara arrived unexpectedly after typically spending this portion of the offseason training on his own before reporting closer to training camp. Even members of the organization were caught off guard by his decision...

Washington went all-in on their defensive line in late 2010s, taking one in the first round of four consecutive NFL drafts.
Jonathan Allen came in 2017. Daron Payne was taken in 2018, with Montez Sweat in 2019 and Chase Young in 2020.
Payne’s the only one left.
Young was traded to San Francisco. Sweat was dealt to Chicago before getting paid. Allen spent eight seasons in Washington and got one big-time contract extension but ended up getting released after a trade request didn’t pan out. He was in Minnesota for the 2025 campaign and will play for Cincinnati in 2026....

In 2025, Martin appeared in three games for the Ravens and recorded five tackles....

NFL Trade Rumors
New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh said on Wednesday that defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris, who suffered a torn Achilles tendon during the first week of OTAs, could return near the end of the season.
The Giants have not placed Robertson-Harris on IR, which would end his season.
“There’s a chance Roy could get back actually,” Harbaugh said. “With Roy’s situation time-frame wise there’s a chance he could get back late in the season so we’re going to try to hold off on that if we can.”
Robertson-Harris, a 6-foot-7, 300-pound tackle, is a 10-year veteran who started all 17...

Ever since the Los Angeles Rams traded for Myles Garrett on Monday, Aaron Donald rumors have been running wild. It didn’t help that the future first-ballot Hall of Fame defensive tackle has since been pouring fuel on the fire by admitting that the Rams’ adding the NFL’s best defender has given him consideration to end his retirement at the age of 35.
But how realistic is that idea? Donald hasn’t played in the NFL since the end of the 2023 season. That’s two full years away from the most competitive level of football.
Yet, this is no average human.

Cincinnati Bengals safety Jordan Battle will join the U.S. Navy’s Flight Demonstration Squadron, or the Blue Angels, for a flight at the CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show later this month.
The fourth-year player will not be flying the plane. Rather, he will be in the back-seat. Still, it will probably be a thrilling experience for Battle.
Here’s an excerpt about the Blue Angels from the Dayton Air Show website:
The precision flight demonstrations showcase the professionalism, excellence and teamwork found in all Navy and Marine Corps units, as well as provide the thrill and magic of flight to people...

Broderick Jones was starting to put things together midway through his third NFL season. He unfortunately suffered a serious neck injury in Week 11, leaving his future with the Steelers in doubt. That future became even murkier when the Steelers drafted Max Iheanachor in the first round in April. But that hasn’t stopped Jones from […]
Steelers Depot
PITTSBURGH — With the ink not even dry on Nick Herbig’s contract extension, Pittsburgh Steelers “are working” on a contract extension with defensive tackle Keeanu Benton, a source told Steelers Now on Wednesday.
Benton was in the Steelers’ media room on Wednesday, supporting his former college teammate Herbig. Benton and Herbig also share an agent, Joe DiBenedetto, who was in town for Herbig’s signing.
Herbig was the first of the team’s 2023 NFL Draft class to earn a contract extension this offseason, but he probably won’t be the last. Asked about that during his post-contract-signing press conference, he went straight...
The Las Vegas Raiders have circled for the start of training camp late next month as a targeted date for star pass-rusher Maxx Crosby to return to practice.
Crosby, speaking to Raiders’ reporters for the first time this eventual offseason Wednesday after an open OTA session, didn’t project anything but optimism that that target date will be reached.
Crosby said he is “really close” to start practicing.“ He was been on the field stretching with his teammates before each OTA session and new Las Vegas defensive coordinator Rob Leonard said Wednesday Crosby is doing everything but practicing and he is...
